Nebelung Fur Balls are the Worst of All

Nona has been dry coughing for months. Our vet says it's fur balls. We've lubed her with Laxatone for days on end. We purchased a Furminator comb and still she wheezes. Her waste has always been in small pieces, and hard. (The vet says this is a sign of fur balls.) So Nona, now age eight years, is suffering from her own Nebelung fur.

Her Nebelung fur gets dense and strong when wet. I've described her fur as being like cement when it gets wet. I didn't realize just how correct I was...

Wish us luck in clearing her fur balls because the last resort option is surgery. And we definitely don't want to go there.

The Famous Catarium in Pictures!

Dusty, The Nebelung Cat

Nebelung Nona Plays Catch!

Remember when I mentioned Nona like to play tag, hide and seek, and catch? Well, here she is playing catch --caught on camera, finally. We like to play in -- our bathtub. We have a bathtub with a seat and she sits it the seat and let's me toss her the ball. She will then drop the ball in the tub and I scoop it up to toss it again. Some of you will be interested to know that the ball we prefer to play with is a PetSmart ball with beads inside. It's like a colorful, noisy, smooth plastic ping pong ball.

Sleepy Nebelung Likes Warm Salt

This video is 20 seconds and is showing Nona who sleeps with her head resting against our warm salt lamp. My love, Joe, narrates to us but he's being so quiet it's hard to hear him. He's saying "Look, she was just sleeping with her face against the lamp!"
